mIRC

Posted: 8th March 2015 in DALnet

mIRC is a popular Internet Relay Chat client used by millions of people, and thousands of organizations, to communicate, share, play and work with each other on IRC networks around the world.

I use the mIRC client to connect to the DALnet server, there is many servers available for you to connect too. You can search Google for mIRC Servers.

Using the diffrent chat rooms can be a fun place to meet new people from all over the world. Just be careful on what information you give too people, I’m not saying they are all bad. But just incase, the main term used is ASL? (Age, Sex, Location) which mine would be 40 m N.Ireland – Also don’t except files from people unless you trust them as this could be a virus or another nasty file ie; malware, adware.

Another thing would be pictures, for example if you are chatting to some and they say do you want to see my pic, click on my link exbt.images.com/example don’t click I wouldn’t as I said above it could be a virus etc, So if I said click on my link Me would you?

You can find me on the DALnet server in the following channels; #melbourne #technology #isla #new-davao my nick is zeroacid

“Plus in channels people can be who they want to be, they could lie about their age, sex and location.”

My advice be aware of people, as I said before they are not all bad, but there is bad people out there as we know, so happy chatting and stay safe.
